The best armored British infantry tank from World War II and the first British tank with diesel engine was the Matilda. Thanks to its success during the initial period of fights in Africa, the Matilda was called ‘The Queen of the Dessert’. There were about 2,987 vehicles produced until production stopped in August 1943. In the game ‘World of Tanks’ it is a medium tank with superb armor on the fourth level.
