JIQILE is a totally unknown brand for me and if you read any of my previous reviews you know I'm trying to avoid these. Moreover, another tank set is FAR from any place on my building blocks priority list which is mostly populated by mechs. Nevertheless the price was just TOO good.
Bought in AE Jia Ai TOY Store for whopping 4.79 EUR. For 950 pieces. The price per piece is ridiculous! Despite that, arrived in 12 days, safely packed, instructions weren't even seriously bent.
Relaxed building took 3 hours.
So, what can you expect from a set for 4,79 EUR? :)
Brick quality: definitely not terrible. If I have to compare it with another cheap brand - Kazi, this one is actually better! Not even one mis-moulded track piece, like Kazi always have. I consider all other brands I have or seen to be at least mid-higher quality, so I cannot compare it with a really bad ones. Let's say brands like DK or Le Yi are mid-higher quality. So JIQILE is not quite there, so maybe I can consider it mid-tear? Clutch power is perfect, a bit stronger than Lego, no missing pieces, no scratched or damaged pieces. Colours are consistent. Maybe around 5 (from 950) were a bit dirty, but they were easy to clean. Please keep in mind you can't mix it with Lego - colours are different for both greys and whites.
Design: this is of course just a TOY fantasy tank, it's a bit flat and doesn't pretend to any seriousness as a model. Pieces count is obviously inflated, as there are 200 track pieces (+2 spares). The model is quite stable, despite there are some fragile decorations, they are not in places were you would constantly touch them. So it's possible to play with, though the track design is very basic - no suspension, no rotation on flat surfaces, and even on something like carpet you should press it a bit for the tracks to work.
Stickers/prints: no prints, stickers are a bit thick, again - not the best quality, but again - I had no problems with them. They obviously wouldn't tolerate much re-sticking, but I didn't need during my build.
Instructions: cheap, have 8 mini-models separately in the same book, pictures are very small as there are huge amount of steps on the page. Despite many steps on the page, I didn't make a single mistake and it was clear enough for me. Children might get frustrated with it though. I've noticed one mistake in one step - too many pieces listed for a step. It didn't affect me at all as those extra pieces were from the previous step so I knew them and also the step itself was a repetition of the similar one, so I wasn't really looking and only noticed this mistake by accident. Also, despite stickers have their numbers, there are NO numbers in the instructions. You should guess a sticker from the picture :D Oddly enough, 4 of the stickers were only listed in the part of the instruction for the mini-models.
Spares: there are plenty of interesting spares, some of them used only for the mini-models and not for the tank itself.
Overall, for less than 5 euros I have no regrets, it's not even a question if this is worth it, it was basically a free give-away :) And I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of parts and the stability of the overall design.
